The ideas for using old doors for something new are endless. Upcycling is easy if you like things rustic, and if you do not, it may take a little more time to complete your project, but worthwhile in the end. My awesome husband has been in the business of building and remodeling for about 25 years and was “THE MAN” when it came to putting my idea together for me. I was in disbelief when he told me he had been trashing old doors and windows after remodeling and sad when he told me more about the items. He was trying to live up to his promise to not let junk accumulate on our property, but I have changed my mind about that idea. I realized the things you can do with the old stuff and am starting to get new ideas. So here is our first door project with a 24″ door. Directions to put it together will be coming in the next post.
You can see the tutorial about how we made this shelf here.
I love decorating and as soon as we put the shelf up I was diving into my stash of decor items. Sometimes I like to make things that are fresh and new. We have a Michael’s store near us. I love shopping there and have to put the breaks on sometimes. Most of the time they have what I need but sometimes I have to find it in their online store. Click on the link above in the sidebar to see the vast array of decor and supplies. It’s so much fun!
Oh and just a reminder, if you sign up for ebates (which is free) you can get a bookmark icon for your browser so whenever you go to an online store that offers cash back with ebates, it will drop down the percent of money you will get back on your purchase! Free Money! Click on the ebates sign on the sidebar to see how easy it is to sign up.
I never knew Amazon had such a wide variety of items. I personally love farmhouse decor. Click Go below the pictures on the search box to see more farmhouse decor. It’s awesome!
