The Surviving Cancer series is an account of what my husband and I experienced starting from his first symptoms and through his treatment. I tell our story because it is part of our recovery to be able to talk about it. It’s a reminder of the strength we gained through the experience and also the reality of what it’s like for someone when they hear the cancer diagnosis.
Do you or someone you know have cancer? I would love to hear your story. Cancer has such a broad scope of diagnosis, but they all share the same characteristic, fear. Today the prognosis is better than ever before, but so many people still die from it at a young age. Living with that fear is a heavy burden for anyone. I was traumatized by it, and it was my husband who had cancer. Suddenly you can be thrown into a world of constant hospital visits and be managing 10 or more different meds.
If you are interested in sharing your story, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would be interested in sharing your experience with my readers and give everyone a chance to communicate with each other, about helpful tips or to ask questions for your benefit. Send a photo if you like.
