Our garden grew quite a bit in the last 2 weeks.
You can see all of our garden and what it looked like 2 weeks ago here.
The “sugar peas” are now almost to the top of the fence. The are
blossoming and next the sugar peas will form from the blossom.

Even master gardeners’ have challenges that they have to take care of in order
to care for the plants and gain a harvest from them. If you have any questions
about anything you see or anything else on this website I would love to try to
answer it or point you in the right direction. Please ask your questions in the
comment section and I will answer as soon as possible.
The "blueberry bushes" are fully in blossom and the blueberries will begin to form from the blossom.
We cut most of the greens now because the weather will soon
be to hot for them to grow well and once we are sure of that
we are planning on planting green beans, yellow beans, and
maybe some other vegees in their place. Below is our
“peppermint tea” and “cutting lettuce”
If you look at the picture below you can see that the arugula
that is planted with our mesclun mix has what looks like a bud on top.
This is what we call “going to seed”. When a plant starts
producing seed it will loose it’s good flavor, because it is putting
it’s energy into forming the seeds.
Below is our red lettuce we cut today and a few more vegetable plants
we planted. I can’t wait to show you the growth in future posts.
There’s something special about the miracle of a simple plant turning into
a source of food for yourself and/or family. It’s what makes gardening fun!

I hope you will come back to see what our garden produces and the stages of
growth all our plants will be going through. If you need a hobby or something to
do to get you moving or outside in the fresh air, consider a garden, even if
it’s only a few tomato plants. I’ve always loved watching plants grow
because it gives you a sense of accomplishment and also a chance to
enjoy nature and it’s miracles.
